We have the opportunity for Midwives to join our innovative, enthusiastic Maternity team bank.
We are a consultant lead maternity unit with approximately 1200 deliveries per year. The Midwifery bank is accessed by both community and hospital teams and covers a wide geographical area. The Midwifery bank is to work between all community areas and Maternity Assessment Unit, which is a 2 bedded assessment area. The Birthing Suite which has 6 en-suite bedrooms with various equipment to support mobilisation during labour and 2 with birthing pools. The Maternity ward consists of 12 en-suite bedrooms with home comforts. The team pride themselves on delivering family centred, evidence based antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care to all families that access our service.
This is an exciting time to work within Dumfries and Galloway as we use improvement methodology to implement the Best Start recommendations throughout the region.
