Applications are invited for the post of Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist in Dumfries and Galloway, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS). The post is offered at up to 10 PAs.
The post holder will join three consultants currently working in the service. The clinical team comprises: Clinical Nurse Manager, two Band 7 team leads, Primary Mental Health Work Team, Mental Health Workers and Support Mental Health Workers and has close links with Child Clinical Psychology, Adult Mental Health Services, Paediatrics and the Communication Disorders Assessment Team. Organisationally the service is part of the Women, Children’s and Sexual Health Directorate. There are excellent strategic and operational links with council and voluntary services.
Candidates must have a higher qualification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists or equivalent) and be on the Specialist Register for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, or be within 3 months of eligibility. Candidates should be AMP approved.
