By 2021 the Golden Jubilee Foundation will complete investment in new elective treatment capacity to ensure there is high quality and adequate provision of elective services to meet the needs of an ageing population.
The first stage of this expansion is the opening of the new Integrated Ophthalmology Unit towards the end of 2020; patients will attend the unit for assessment and treatment for cataract surgery. The post holder will be appointed ahead of opening to join the Ophthalmology Nurse Development Programme. This is an accelerated training programme to support the post holder to achieve the necessary skills and knowledge to care for our patients through all stages of the cataract pathway. This is a rotational post and the post holder will be expected to work within the Outpatient Clinic and Ophthalmology Theatres within the Integrated Ophthalmology Unit.
We are looking for an experienced Healthcare Support Worker (HCSW) with a SVQ 3 in Healthcare Support or equivalent level SCQF 7/8 knowledge.
