This is one of four Consultant Psychiatry posts currently being advertised.

Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) in NHS Lothian are currently embarking upon a service redesign supported by £3 million of additional investment.  Applications are welcome for these vacancies.  This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic and forward-thinking Consultant Psychiatrist who wishes to contribute to our vision of getting it right for every child and young person with a mental health problem.  As Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be supported to develop special interests and have excellent access to research and developmental opportunities.

We would particularly value an application from a candidate with an eating disorders interest as 2 sessions can be job planned to support our innovative Eating Disorders Development Team.

Our home is Edinburgh, our stunning capital city that is a bristling, historic hive of culture with breath-taking landmarks, atmospheric festivals year-round and awe-inspiring architecture.  Yet just a few miles away, you could not feel further from the city in the beautiful Pentland Hills or one of the many picturesque seaside towns of East Lothian.

For those considering commuting, in addition to an Edinburgh based vacancy, we have two further vacancies in West Lothian and East Lothian.  Both are easily commutable from the West Coast and Scottish Borders respectively.
