Procurement in NHS Scotland covers £2.5 billion of trade spend.  The role is to provide NHS Scotland Procurement community and Scottish Government Health Department fully programmed management of the NHS Scotland Contract work plan and single national Benefit Tracker.

The Commercial & Performance Services department carries out a range of customer focused commercial and governance activities for NHS Bodies and the wider Public Sector under a short, long term or ad hoc basis. Support and consultancy is led by members of the team with wide and varied experience in contracting and sourcing services, programme management and project management services


Project and Programme Management

Management and effective delivery of projects and initiatives for both external and internal stakeholders implementing best practice project management and advising on procurement legislation to ensure successful project outcomes are realised.


Provide leadership and governance on National Procurement contract processes including development and provision of management information to track progress of contract implementation and benefits delivery.

The Planning Manager will be responsible for providing a full range of planning and reporting services on behalf of the Strategic Sourcing directorate, assisting in the organisation and administration of all aspects of Programmes, Projects and Business As Usual.
