This post is for a 2 year fixed term contract/ secondment opportunity
Practitioner and Counter Fraud Services (P&CFS) are the national payment and registration service in Scotland, being responsible for payments in excess of £2.6b to Pharmacists, Doctors, Dentists and Opticians. P&CFS are currently engaged in a number of major digital, application and technology transformation programmes which embrace cloud based technology.
An exciting opportunity is available to the right candidate to join the management team to make a significant contribution to the development and modernisation of major payment and critical patient based systems.
Working across multiple delivery streams, he/she would provide ongoing consultancy with a proactive strategic overview to Sponsors, Executive Management and Stakeholders to ensure interdependencies and contention between strategic initiatives are recognised and integrated into development and roll out activities.
The post holder would be a suitably qualified programme manager, who can demonstrate experience in working on large complex high profile national IT developments, being able to develop, motivate and monitor staff within the programmes, identify training needs and monitor staff development to ensure that individual and collective objectives are achieved and a beneficial workplace climate is sustained.
You will be confident and self-motivated with a flexible and resilient approach to working on challenging, high profile, national programmes. You will also have experience of applying continuous improvement which you bring to all aspects of the role.
