A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced financial manager to join NHS National Services Scotland’s Finance service. NSS Finance strives to deliver excellence in strategic financial management enabled by sound governance, business insight and efficient and effective services.
An important new temporary role, the Finance Business Controller will support the new Covid-19 Service area of “Test and Protect”. They will own key business relationships with senior managers and budget holders, managing financial planning, performance management and reporting in this high profile and fluid area. Providing insight, advice and challenge to ensure effective financial management.
The Business Controller will be an experienced management accountant with excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to negotiate, persuade and influence others.
The successful candidate will be a Qualified Accountant. You will have an extensive proven track record in all aspects of finance service delivery within a complex organisation and experience in a Senior Finance role including significant budgetary responsibility.

The successful candidate will be required to undergo a Disclosure Scotland check.
Any candidate who has lived/worked overseas for more than 12 months in the preceding 5 years will also be required to provide a criminal record check from the appropriate overseas agency.
