Title of Post: National Associate Director (Scottish Access Collaborative)

Grade:  8D

Salary:  £85,811- £89,732

Base: This is a national role with access to office facilities at NHS Golden Jubilee and Scottish Government Buildings in Edinburgh and Glasgow but with current circumstances will be predominantly working from home using remote working technology. The role will continue to make use of remote working in the future although travel throughout Scotland will be expected in the future.

We are currently looking for someone to provide strategic and innovative leadership to the Scottish Access Collaborative Team.  This role provides the real opportunity for you to implement Government Policy and also support Health Boards, and other Partners, to transform and deliver sustainable improvement within elective services currently and also for the National Health Service of the future.

The role is satisfying but also challenging and you must be able to work with a high level of autonomy within a complex political and public environment.  You will require to interact and develop credible working relationships with senior Scottish Government, Health Board and Partner organisation representatives. You should be able to welcome challenge and have the ability to work with conflicting viewpoints which will need you to demonstrate very well developed communication, influencing, persuading and negotiating skills.

You will also be able to provide us with a proven track record in implementing performance improvement or transformational change programmes including situations where the change may not have been supported by all key stakeholders at its inception.

You will also have experience of managing a team, and significant programme budget, and be able to establish a positive team working environment where everyone’s input is valued.

If you feel that you possess both the personal skills and experience described, then we would be very keen to hear from you.
