We have an opportunity for full time or part time, permanent Band 5 Staff Nurses to become part of Ward 207’s team within Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. This post offers day and night rotation working 12 hour shifts. Part time posts may also be considered for the right candidates.
This busy 20 bedded Acute Elective Surgical Ward specialises in Hepato Biliary Pancreatic Surgery, Upper GI Surgery, Endocrine and Bariatric Surgery. We are one of the step down wards for Surgical HDU and the emergency receiving ward, so have a mix of elective and emergency patients.
The post holder will be able to adapt to the constantly changing environment, therefore be able to deal with stressful situations, must be flexible and adaptable to the changing needs of the service.
The successful candidate will be assured of developing new skills in a supportive environment. In this post you will ensure high standards of nursing care and be involved in the monitoring of these standards. You must hold a first level registration with evidence of ongoing professional development, demonstrate a genuine commitment to the specialty and have experience as a registered nurse.
