Health Facilities Scotland (HFS, a directorate of National Services Scotland Procurement Commissioning and Facilities) is seeking to appoint a Head of Estates and Facilities for National Services Scotland.
Responsible for Hard & Soft Facilities issues, contributing to corporate level decision making and taking the the lead on specialist aspects of Operational Estates & Facilities services. You will also be responsible for interpreting legislative and other requirements and responsible as NSS direct lead in the Operational Estates & Facilities field.
The Post holder will be expected to contribute to the long term strategic planning and provision of all NSS Estates & Facilities services and property portfolio that directly support all clinical and non-clinical services of the NSS and NHS Boards and delivery of organisational objectives. They will provide formal technical leadership, guidance and input to support effective delivery of the NSS capital programme as well as being accountable for all parts of the operational service provision and associated staff.
This role requires a credible, accomplished leader who is able to engage, inspire and motivate staff. They should be able to demonstrate an excellent track record of operational and strategic decision making and be able to rapidly develop effective stakeholder relationships.
To ensure that the relative experience is identified you will evidence a successful track record of driving large scale organisational and cultural change programmes along with significant financial management and risk management experience within a large complex NHS or local authority/government organisation.
