Job Advert

As a vital part of NHS Scotland, NHS National Services Scotland’s mission is to enable and support the delivery of better health and better care, working in partnership. We do this by providing a range of specialised support services that enable NHS Boards to focus their efforts on delivering health improvement and patient care.
An opportunity has arisen within the DaS SBU for a Product Support Analyst in the Innovation and Solutions Support Team. The role of the DaS SBU is to support the NHS Scotland National eHealth Agenda through the effective delivery of IM&T products and specialist services that will enable clinical process and efficiency improvement across Scotland. In the near future the department will take on support of new health applications to be rolled out in 2021/22.

The Product Support Analyst role requires the post holder to have excellent customer service and communication skills, excellent knowledge of IT support and the ability to work well supporting multiple products, services and customer bases. It is also crucial that the post holder has experience of documenting, following and continual improvement of working processes. The post holder will be expected to work closely with a range of internal teams including Development, Test and other Support Teams, as well as Project and Service managers and supplier vendors. In order to support the new applications, experience in supporting applications on the Cloud would be desirable.
Although this post will primarily focus on specific remits within the team, it is worth noting that these are generic posts and the post holder must be willing, adaptable, agile and have a strong ethos around team culture, customer engagement and enhancing the customer experience.
Our benefits package includes pension scheme, comprehensive range of work life balance policies, occupational health services, learning resource centres and discounted leisure, financial and shopping benefits.

The successful candidate will be required to undergo a PVG Scheme Disclosure/Disclosure Scotland check. Any candidate who has worked overseas for more than 3 months will also be required to provide a criminal record check from the appropriate overseas agency.
