As a vital part of NHS Scotland, NHS National Services Scotland’s mission is to enable and support the delivery of better health and better care, working in partnership. We do this by providing a range of specialised support services that enable NHS Boards to focus their efforts on delivering health improvement and patient care.  As a major division within the NHS National Services Scotland the Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service (SNBTS) plays a vital role not only in the health of the people of Scotland but also on an international scale through our leading position in new product development biomedical research and donor / clinical services. Our goal is to maintain the highest standards of patient/donor care whilst remaining internationally competitive. The Donor Services & Transport Department is responsible for the planning and provision of adequate supplies of safe, high quality blood components for NHS Scotland in full compliance with regulatory requirements

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the SQI Specialist Function within Donor Services & Transport (DS&T) as a member of our newly formed training team. Successful post holders will report to the SQI Clinical Nurse Educator and support the delivery of learning and development for new and existing, clinical and non-clinical staff within DS&T, and will oversee the management and compliance of training delivery and records.

The ideal candidate will be a source of knowledge and expertise in the field of training, education and development.  You will be a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with the ability to work with a level of autonomy.  An important aspect of the post is the ability to be flexible to meet the range of variable work patterns and environments required to deliver on outcomes within the role and responsibilities of the post.

The successful candidate will be required to undergo a PVG Scheme Disclosure/Disclosure  Scotland check. Any candidate who has worked overseas for more than 3 months will also be required to provide a criminal record check from the appropriate overseas agency

Our benefits package includes pension scheme, comprehensive range of work life balance policies, occupational health services, learning resource centres and discounted leisure, financial and shopping benefits.
