We require an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the NHS Fife Research & Development Team to work full time across the organisation to support R&D research nurses and clinical investigators to run the SIREN study within NHS Fife.

Activities will include involvement in supporting and monitoring of research participants and the collection of blood and PCR samples. You will work collaboratively with local NHS Fife investigators and the wider multi-disciplinary teams in the management of your own caseload of research participants in follow-up, with supervision from the existing R&D research nurses.  The post will be supported by the R&D department and based within the Clinical Research Facility, Victoria Hospital.

 You will be someone with venapuncture experience. Swab sampling experience is desirable but not essential. You will have a basic knowledge of research principles, including confidentiality, informed consent and ethical issues.
 
 Attention to detail, strong organisational and communication skills, good IT skills and a methodical approach are key requirements, along with a proven ability to work as part of a team.  Ability to regularly travel throughout NHS Fife is essential.
