An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Nurse Specialist (Epilepsy and LD) to play a leading clinical and service developmental role within Fife H&SCP Learning Disabilities Epilepsy Service.
Applications are invited from individuals who have extensive experience in Learning Disabilities and Epilepsy practice. You are required to be a Learning Disabilities Registered Nurse with current NMC registration and hold a recognised qualification in epilepsy care (Post Grad Cert /Diploma) and also be able to demonstrate continuing professional development with evidence of post registration qualification / study at Masters’ level.  You should be able to demonstrate advanced clinical skills, knowledge and experience, including non medical prescribing practice working with adults across the age span presenting with learning disabilities, epilepsy and complex needs.  You will have excellent interpersonal skills and have leadership and team working experience, high-level communication skills, critical analysis /problem solving skills with investment in continuing personal / professional development including the development of other staff.   A commitment to partnership working with a range of stakeholders is also essential.
You will have day to day responsibility for managing the epilepsy nursing caseload across service, the workload of others and the assessment (including requesting / managing investigations), treatment management, care planning and evaluation of patients presenting with complex LD and epilepsy.
The NHS Fife LD Epilepsy service is committed to multi-disciplinary/ partnership working across all health care and H&SCP services. We are committed to peer review, clinical supervision and personal / professional development.
This is a permanent full time post worked Monday to Friday. You will be required to travel between NHS Fife sites.
