An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and driven individual to join our existing team as an Occupational Health Nurse. You will work as a key member of our Occupational Health team and be responsible for providing a comprehensive Occupational Health Service within the Board. This role includes identifying and preventing work related health problems, promoting healthy living and working conditions, understanding the effects of work on health and health on work, health surveillance, health promotion, risk assessments, risk management, vaccinations, pre-employment clearance and taking blood samples.  You will be expected to support employees to achieve and sustain a level of health and wellbeing to allow them to maximise their potential both in work and in life. 

The successful candidate will be a registered nurse with post registration experience within an NHS clinical setting. You will also have practical experience and a good understanding of Occupational Health nursing.  This is an exciting trainee opportunity and the successful candidate will be expected to complete the Post Graduate Diploma in Specialist Community Health Nursing (Occupational Health) over the next 2 years. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a willingness to learn. You should have good time management and organisational skills together with a positive approach and the ability to work effectively within a small but busy team whilst adapting to the diverse and variable demands on our service.
