An opportunity has arisen for an exceptional eHealth Digital Services Director to join NHS Golden Jubilee (GJ), a National Health Board providing national and regional clinical services for NHS Scotland.

You will lead the delivery of first class eHealth services across the organisation and develop our operating model as we expand our national portfolio. This will involve strong operational experience combined with a values-driven leadership style that will enable you to inspire and motivate staff. These qualities will help you to deliver the systems and services aligned to the vision and goals of the organisation.

The postholder will ensure NHS GJ’s technology platforms are aligned to the business needs of our operational and clinical teams to enable world class patient care.  We develop and manage a wide range of technology platforms and services, with an emphasis on value, high quality, availability and effectiveness. You will ensure that we deliver consistent, robust and innovative clinical systems, infrastructure and service support.

You will develop a high performing team, adopting modern practices and tools to drive efficiency, reliability, value and continuous learning / improvement. Working as part of the organisation’s Senior Management leadership team you will contribute to the development of the wider team as we continue to transform our ways of working to ensure they are fit for the future.

In this role, you will lead through an exciting period of change. As a specialist centre of excellence serving patients from across NHS Scotland, we have a wide range of collaborations.  In addition our business portfolio is also expanding, incorporating the National Elective Centres expansion programmes, NHS Scotland Academy and Centre for Sustainable Delivery.  You contribute to driving forward these and other developments, introducing new services to improve efficiencies and bringing new ideas and established experience.
