A great opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Charge Nurse post in Garrick ward at the Galloway Community Hospital in Stranraer. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated multi professional, award winning team, providing person centred care, as part of the senior nursing team. You will be responsible for supporting the Senior Charge Nurse with the leadership and management of the ward, which is a 20 bed acute medical admissions and acute stroke ward. The post holder will be required to provide leadership on a shift by shift basis to ensure effective and safe operation of the department. An element of this post will be to provide unsocial hours cover for hospital, including at night, on a rotational basis with decision making responsibilities supported by an on call Duty Manager.
