Applications are invited for a part time research nurse to support the Palliative Medicine Research Team within the Scottish Cancer Research Network.
You will be responsible for the recruitment, care and treatment of patients involved in clinical trials. The post holder will need to work with a high degree of independence, interpreting protocols and caring for this patient group. You will work closely with other research nurses, clinicians, data managers and the multidisciplinary team throughout the SCAN region. This involves attendance and input at multidisciplinary meetings and clinics. Occasional travel out with to study meetings or to other hospitals in the region may be required.
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated nurse with experience in a related specialty who would like the opportunity to work within the Scottish Cancer Research Network. You should have experience in clinical research and be educated to degree level (or working towards). The post holder should have excellent inter-personal and communication skills, knowledge of the research process including ICH/GCP guidelines, and evidence of continuous personal, professional and academic development. Attention to detail is essential and IT skills would be advantageous. You must be able to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to an ever-changing working environment.
