Contract: Training period of 12 months - progression to Substantive Anaesthetic Assistant post on completion of Training with full rotation to Night Shift / Late Shifts / Weekend Shifts

An exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join the Anaesthetic Assistant Team within Theatres, NHS Fife as a Trainee Anaesthetic Nurse. This post is full time, 37.5 hours per week.
You will be employed on a supernumery basis for a period of 12 months on a Training contract.
It is envisaged there will be automatic progression to a substantive Anaesthetic Assistant post on successful completion of the NHS Fife training programme.
This will include full rotation to Night Shift / Late Shifts / Weekend Shifts.
The NHS Fife training programme includes completion of the NHS Education Scotland (NES) Anaesthetic Assistant Competencies, which is a Nationally / Internationally Accredited award.
Study time of 8 hours per week will be allocated to be taken within the department.

You must be 1st level Adult Registered Nurses.
Relevant Post Registration experience
Experience within the Perioperative environment desirable, not essential.
You must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council and be able to provide current
evidence of Continuing Professional Development in line with NMC code of conduct / Revalidation.
You will be able to demonstrate effective Communication / Interpersonal Skills.
Excellent time management skills.
A level of English language competency and communication skills is necessary to perform this role safely and effectively.
