As a vital part of NHS Scotland, NHS National Services Scotland’s mission is to enable and support the delivery of better health and better care, working in partnership.  We do this by providing a range of specialised support services that enable NHS Boards to focus their efforts on delivering health improvement and patient care.

Procurement, Commissioning and Facilities (PCF) provide specific services and expert advice across its portfolio of activity.  Outputs include specialist services commissioning, screening, national contracting, logistics, procurement systems, and professional advice and expertise about property, facilities, construction and equipment.

The Business Support Department provides professional administration services which support the day to day ongoing work and projects delivered by PCF.  The department also provides guidance and support to all corporate governance and assurance initiatives.

We are currently seeking an experienced Business Support Administrator to provide a full range of  administrative support services. The post is based at the Gyle Square, 1 South Gyle Crescent, Edinburgh.

You must be a team player and able to co-ordinate your work efficiently and effectively within a larger group structure.   You must have the confidence to act on your own initiative particularly when dealing with confidential administrative duties and enquiries on behalf of the wider team and PCF.

You should have proven experience in a similar role, be ideally educated to HND in Office Administration or a related subject or have equivalent experience, also significant experience in taking detailed minutes.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential as are well-developed organisational abilities and a flexible approach to working.   In depth knowledge of Microsoft office packages and excellent attention to detail.
