This is an NHS Lanarkshire wide post based at Buchanan Centre, Coatbridge


Please note: There is one full time permanent position and one temporary position for 6 months which will be a secondment opportunity for internal staff.  (Applicants must obtain approval for secondment from their line manager).


As a First level registered nurse the post holder will have responsibility across Lanarkshire for measuring the practice of NHS Lanarkshire Mental Health and Learning Disability Service clinical areas against Best Practice Statements, National and Local Standards. Act as a catalyst for the development and implementation of evidence based practice. Devise and deliver training programmes/courses that improve the standard of clinical practice and promote the continued professional development of nursing staff and clinical services.


The post holder will develop productive relationships with key organisations in Lanarkshire and beyond.


Post holder takes a lead role in developing clinical/nursing policies which impact on other disciplines, responsible for policy implementation and the development of service.

The post holder will be based in a central department and operationally managed by the Senior Nurse for Mental Health and Learning Disability.
