You  will join the NHSGGC Prescribing Support Team and assist the technicians and pharmacists take forward key prescribing initiatives and delivery of pharmacotherapy.  As a member of the Prescribing Team you will have an important role in supporting cost effective and evidence based prescribing within specific GP practices and Care Homes across NHS GGC.  This role will involve working with GPs and the primary care multidisciplinary teams to improve medicines management and deliver excellent patient care.  This role will involve delivery of the pharmacotherapy service as part of the GP contract and will provide an important function in supporting patients with their medicines This post requires excellent communication, negotiation, organisational and IT skills.  This is an opportunity to begin a career in Primary Care working with multi-disciplinary teams, particularly GP Practices, Community Pharmacies, Care Homes and across other care settings.  Experience of working in a healthcare environment or as part of a multi-disciplinary team is desirable. The hours of this post will be worked 5 days over 7.
