The Transformational Redesign Unit supports health and care organisations with complex, system-wide change to improve outcomes for the people of Scotland. This is an operational post within the ADP and Homeless Programme: Reducing Harm Improving Care which aims to engage specialist alcohol and drug and statutory homeless functions, alongside the people who use them, to improve access, reduce harm and achieve better outcomes.

We are looking for an experienced Assosciate Improvement Advisor to support the delivery of this new and exciting programme of work.  Using a blend of quality improvement and redesign methods, we will embed lived and living experience, to support the redesign of services to achieve better outcomes for people, so a proven track record of utilising these methodologies is essential.  This programme requires close working with specialist alcohol and drug services and statutory homeless functions alongside people with lived/living experience of homelessness, therefore familiarity working in muti-disciplinary teams is critical.

The successful candidate will be a motivated individual with a passion for improvement. This role will:

-Support the development of the improvement programme within a defined ADP area offering Quality Improvement expertise to understand the local issues and define and understand solutions.

-Ensuring the contributions of experts across data, evidence, medicines and Pharmacy to support the programmes key objectives with the support of key allies to embed lived experience.

- Build a culture of learning seeking to share the emerging issues by agree communications both internally and externally to ensure transparency and accountability.

- Support the ambitions of inclusion to improve quality of care for people affected by homelessness who use alcohol and drug services by putting their voices front and centre of the improvement programme.

We are looking for someone who is educated to Masters level in a relevant subject or equivalent knowledge and significant experience in improving services in health and social care or homeless services.

Further information about the role is available from Ruth Robin, Portfolio Lead (ruth.robin@nhs.scot).
