The post provides comprehensive secretarial and business administrative support to the local management team and the wider Alcohol and Drug recovery service business support team. The post-holder will require to be an efficient administrator who contributes significantly to achievement of the role of the management team through provision of a variety of secretarial and administrative duties.

Knowledge of office procedures and systems is essential and require to demonstrate prior experience of working in a secretarial or administrative role. This experience is likely to have been achieved an 3 years related secretarial/administrative experience at a more junior level through which a thorough understanding of office procedures has been obtained.

Must show competence in the use of range of computer packages evidenced by experience or formal qualification e.g. ECDL. Hold a recognised qualification in Administration equivalent to HNC in Secretarial Studies or Business Administration, or SVQ in Administration at Level 3, or significant relevant equivalent practical experience.

Specific Skills/ Knowledge include: advanced keyboard skills, good communication skills both written and verbal as post holder will attend meetings and be responsible for completion of minutes of meetings as this is an essential role for this post.

Post holder will work as part of a business support team,attention to detail, highly motivated and enthusiastic. Organisational skills, including ability to deal with a range of non-routine tasks, apply problem solving and manage conflicting demands.

There will be an on-going requirement to have a personal development plan agreed with the manager which will include participation in training and development.

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm
