We are seeking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic individual to provide healthcare support within the Outpatient Department (OPD)of the Lorn and Islands Hospital. OPD is a busy department catering to a variety of clinical specialities.
The post holder will also, on occasion, be asked to assist in the Emergency Department. This aspect of the role will be supported by the Registered Nurses.
You must have good communication and organisational skills, the ability to work both as part of a established and on your own.
The postholder will require to demonstrate a committment to develop in this role for clinical observations, venepuncture, plastering, ECGs , completion of patient histories and accurate documentation.
You should also have the ability to use a computer.
Evidence of Training for the SVQ programmes for Health Care Support Workers at level 3, or equivalent and/or experience in this role is desired but not essential, as in-house training will be given.
