Due to developments within the department, opportunities have become available for highly motivated enthusiastic Staff Nurses to join our team within the Day Intervention Unit.
The Day Intervention Unit covers Endoscopy, Day Surgery, the Surgical Elective Admission Lounge and Interventional Radiology.
You will be expected to assist in all areas within DIU as required.
You must have a genuine interest in working within these areas and the understanding that you will be given the appropriate training and support to do so.

You will be required to undertake additional training to allow you to achieve required competencies, allowing them to participate in out of hours on call commitments.

Good decision making skills in clinical practice and the ability to work with minimal supervision are essential as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills.
You must possess evidence of effective team working and excellent interpersonal
skills, and be committed to patient focused care.

As part of the team you will be fully supported through mentorship, induction, revalidation and teaching programmes. In return you must be committed and motivated in your own professional development.
All newly qualified nurses must be committed to undergo the flying start programme.

These posts are Permanent to Planned Care Directorate and Temporary to Day Intervention Unit.
Salary will be pro rata for part time hours.
