An exciting opportunity has arisen as a result of Scottish Government investment in perinatal, maternity and neonatal services. We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic highly specialist clinical/counselling psychologist to a brand new 0.9 wte band 8b psychology post within NHS Forth Valley. The postholder will work across services (0.6wte in maternity/neonatal services and 0.3wte in perinatal services) affording excellent opportunity for pathway and service development. They will work with multidisciplinary colleagues to lead on psychological care offering consultancy, supervision and training in addition to direct clinical care of patients and families. Within maternity/neonatology they will be supported by a band 7 psychological therapist. Professionally, the post holder will be a member of and will contribute to NHS Forth Valley’s friendly and dynamic clinical health psychology specialty which has seen significant expansion over recent years. In turn, the clinical health psychology specialty works cohesively with other specialties within wider Psychological Services. As such there are ample opportunities for networking with psychology colleagues including service wide reflective practice groups and CPD events.
