Trainee Health Visitor,  Band 7 (Annex 21)

CONTRACT DURATION: Fixed Term for 13 months leading to a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (SCPHN) Qualification in Health Visiting (HV)

Applications are invited from individuals who wish to be considered for a 1 year full time post to undertake the Post Graduate Diploma, Level 11 (MASTERS) SCPHN (HV) programme.  Successful applicants will be fully funded at AfC Band 7 Annex 21 Training salary to undertake the one year full time course at the University of the West of Scotland with course start date to be confirmed.

Attached is the job description and person specification for a qualified Health Visitor. This post is to undertake the training for this role and your supporting statement should reflect relevant experience, transferrable skills, learning and leadership relevant to this post.

Essential for Trainee Health Visitor posts: Applicants must have a registered nurse or registered midwife qualification and have a first level degree.
