The duties of the post are to support the Blood Donation and Tissues, Cells and Advanced Therapies services across Scotland.

This post is offered under the terms of the new consultant contract and as such the job plan is available for consideration.  The successful applicant will be expected to participate in the job planning process and will be subject to review at least annually.  The successful applicant will also be expected to participate in the consultant appraisal system.

Applicants must be registered medical practitioners who are included on the General Practice or Specialist Register of the General Medical Council or within three months of doing so.

The successful candidate will be required to undergo a PVG Scheme Disclosure Scotland check. Any candidate who has worked overseas for more than 3 months will also be required to provide a criminal record check from the appropriate overseas agency.
