Niddrie Medical Practice, Edinburgh, 5-8 sessions
Niddrie and Craigmillar is one of the most deprived areas in Scotland. Life isn’t healthy here. A good part of our 4000 patients suffer poverty, no or low paid jobs, drug and alcohol use, poor educational achievements and violence. At Niddrie MP we have a dedicated team to provide excellent health care and to enable our patients to make positive choices and support the great resilience and community spirit of the area. Many of our patients value our approach and we enjoy the respect of the community.
We are looking for a GP, partner or salaried, to support our team of doctors, nurse, nurse practitioner, pharmacist, physiotherapist, mental health nurse, a community link worker and a dedicated administrative team. You need to have an interest or experience in deprivation medicine and a strong team spirit. We meet weekly and have 2 scheduled coffee breaks each day.
