Salaried GP
Location: The Lomond Practice
Salary/Banding: £86,000 to £97,200 (pro rata)
Hours: 4 - 8 Sessions
The Lomond Practice has an opportunity for a salaried GP to join our urban Practice. We operate from a purpose built NHS run, state of the art building with in-house District Nursing, Health Visitors and School Nursing staff.
Situated in Glenrothes with excellent road links across Fife and into Edinburgh, our Practice serves people from Glenrothes with our Branch Practice supporting our patients in Cardenden.
We are a well established, well above average earning Practice with a complement of 3 GP Partners, 3 Salaried GPs, 2 Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANPs) and 3 Practice Nurses for 10,500 patients. Our team is complimented by our excellent and dedicated NHS Treatment Room Staff, Pharmacy Team and a Mental Health Triage nurse.
The clinical team is supported by excellent managerial and administrative staff who are friendly, helpful and above all vital to the smooth running of the Practice. Nothing is too much trouble for our team who are here to support you and make your clinical day run as smooth as possible.
We are a Scottish Graduate Entry Medicine (ScotGEM) Practice and a NHS Education for Scotland Training Practice currently training a GP Registrar. We are also involved in the training and development of in-house NHS Community ANPs to assist with urgent house visits and same day minor illness presentations. We are a keen and enthusiastic towards the training and development of all our staff and have regular in house teaching opportunities.
The Practice also holds a regular commitment with Glenrothes Community Hospital with the opportunity for our GPs to be involved should they wish.

Financial Package - £10,800 per session. Medical Defence fees are paid by the Practice. Opportunity for a Golden Hello payment from NHS Fife up to £10,000 for eligible applicants. The Practice will also provide an additional recruitment bonus upon successful completion of 6 months employment. Annual leave is 7 weeks which includes one week study leave.
We believe we can offer a good work-life balance with our workflow optimisation enabling us to drastically reduce the amount of clinical correspondence you would need to deal with. In addition, our house call requirements are light.
