​​​​​​​An exciting opportunity has arisen within NHS Forth Valley’s Health Promotion Service for a full- time (37.5hrs) Health Promotion Officer.

The post holder will lead on the development and delivery of the Social Influence Programme, Tobacco and Cannabis Training, and wider tobacco and substance workforce development; actively contributing to the Health Promotion Service Delivery Plan.  This Delivery Plan contributes to national and local strategic priorities, including Scotland’s Public Health Priorities and NHS FV’s Health Improvement Plan.

The successful candidate will be able work with partners to develop and deliver prevention and early intervention activities, demonstrate a sound understanding of the health improvement policy agenda, and have excellent project and people management skills.  The post holder will be required to line manage staff.  In addition, experience of partnership working, research and evaluation, outcomes driven programmes and workforce development are essential. 

Ability and willingness to travel throughout the area of service delivery is essential for this post.

The successful candidate will be qualified to degree level in a relevant specialist area and have experience in a health promotion/health improvement field.
