NHS Forth Valley in conjunction with the University of Stirling and NHS Education for Scotland are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join the Practice Development Unit as an Education Facilitator (Care Homes).

The purpose of this post is to work with mentors in care homes to enhance the quality of the clinical learning experience of student nurses on practice placements, by supporting educational and development activities which promote a values based, person centered approach to care and learning. Contribute to quality of care provided for older people in care homes through sign posting practice learning opportunities for nurses and support staff.

We are seeking applications from experienced first level nurses/midwives, who have an interest in education at practice level and have completed mentor training. You should be educated to degree level, and it would be advantageous to have or be working toward and NMC recordable practice educator/lecturer qualification. You should also have a proven track record in supporting and supervising students.

You should also be able to demonstrate an understanding of the regulation of care homes.
