An exciting role within the Clinical Directorate to manage and deliver complex innovation programmes.  You will be a key part of the Innovation Team and lead on the development on national innovation initiatives.
The Clinical Directorate provide clinical, care and related leadership and expertise to support NSS to deliver value based healthcare through its services. This role will programme manage innovation programmes for NSS and NHSScotland that support transformational changes in how health and care services are delivered across the country. 
It is accepted that the way in which Health and Social Care is delivered needs to change and with the current pressures on Health and Social Care Services, innovation is necessary and will play a large part in the recovery and renewal of these services.  The Clinical Directorate Innovation Team will be integral part of this though the design and implementation of ‘Once for Scotland’ functions and services to support national innovations to the management of projects through the pipeline and onto wide spread adoption across Health and Social Care in Scotland.
The post holder must have proven project and programme management skills be able to demonstrate a methodical and structured approach and the ability to lead and communicate with staff across NSS Strategic Business Units and external stakeholders at all levels across multiple organisations.  The post holder should also have experience in Service Design and operational and transformation change experience.  

Qualifications & Experience Required
•    Proven experience of leading large complex projects and programmes from definition to implementation to deliver outcomes and benefits to quality, time and budget using a variety of methodologies.
•    Proven experience and knowledge of the way in which NHSScotland currently provides services and the way this will evolve in the future, demonstrating an understanding of the way in which high quality information can support these services.
•    Excellent interpersonal, communication, influencing, negotiation and presentation skills to take forward the information agenda within NHS Scotland and the development of relationships with key stakeholders across NHS Scotland.
•    Staff and team management skills required include planning, organising, delegating, appraising and staff development.
