We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Eating Disorder Specialist to join our CAMHS team.
We are looking for a suitably qualified candidate (Family Based Therapist, CBT Therapist) who will work to support CAMHS to deliver the best possible treatment to children and young people and their families and carers. The individual will have significant NHS experience and the knowledge and skills to work as part of a multi-professional team and be innovative in their approach to supporting this client group.
The post holder is expected to work well within a team setting however should be able to deliver an autonomous service as part of the role, operating within recognised professional guidelines and the overall framework of the eating disorder service’s policies and procedures.
The post holder will be encouraged to take on a leadership role supported by the Service Manager and Clinical Director in developing the Eating Disorder Service both in CAMHS and linking with adult services. . This post requires a high degree of knowledge, skill and experience of child and adolescent mental health, alongside a desire and proven ability to offer effective leadership.
Working as part of the Women, Children & Sexual Health Directorate CAMHS you will join a dedicated and enthusiastic team of professionals with a drive to provide outstanding quality of care. Our CAMHS team consists of Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Mental Health Workers, Support Mental Health Workers, Participation Officer and Administration staff. Although the post will be based at the Willows in Dumfries, the remit requires leadership across Dumfries and Galloway
