A vacancy has arisen for an experienced registered physiotherapist to work within the orthopaedic research support team at the Golden Jubilee Research Institute.

The role provides an opportunity for an experienced physiotherapist to support the research work generated from a large orthopaedic database as well as to become involved with the prospective research studies carried out by the Orthopaedic department. The role requires someone who is able to carry out the day-today management of the database, to ensure data integrity and to support the research team using the database. In addition, the role requires recruitment and follow-up of patient in the orthopaedic research studies, including musculoskeletal and functional assessments. In addition to specialist knowledge of the orthopaedic/arthroplasty clinical environment, applicants should have excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.

The successful applicant will work under the supervision of the Orthopaedic Research Co-ordinator and will work predominantly within the multi-professional team that supports the research generated from the database, but also the wide ranging portfolio of orthopaedic research projects.

The role is a fixed term post for 3 years covering 37.5 hours per week over 5 days with an expectation of flexibility when required.
