An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced midwife to join our team as a Perinatal Mental Health Midwife.
Based across NHS Dumfries and Galloway, the applicant will provide Board wide responsibility to ensure seamless care for women with additional mental health needs, by linking with maternity services and with specialist perinatal mental health services and other care providers. Working closely with the highly motivated Wings Team (Specialist midwifery team working with vulnerable women and families).
The applicant must be a Registered Midwife and have a genuine interest in mental health, leadership and team development. The applicant will also be expected to provide a high standard of person centred care to vulnerable women and their families across maternity services.
We strive to put women and their families at the centre of care. Our birth rate is approximately 1250 births per year.
