A new opportunity has arisen for 2 experienced nurses to join the Beatson Clinical Research Facility (B-CRF) research nurse team. The B-CRF specialises in a wide range of cancer clinical trials in both early and late phase settings.
We are recruiting 2 enthusiastic Research Nurses to assist us in providing high quality nursing care for patients participating in Clinical Research. The applicants should be RGNs with a minimum of 1 year post registration experience. Experience in oncology is also desirable. The post holders will be based at the Beatson WoSCC as part of the early phase nursing team. These are fixed term 12 month posts (37.5hrs per week), with renewable options.
The post holders will be trained and supported in the administration of trial and SACT treatments including monitoring of research participants and the collection and documentation of accurate data. You will work collaboratively with the senior research nurses and the wider multi-disciplinary team. You will work to research principles, including confidentiality, randomisation procedures, informed consent and ethical issues, and have an understanding of research within the context of the Research Governance Framework and Good Clinical Practice. Attention to detail, strong organisational and communication skills, good IT skills and a methodical approach are key requirements, along with a proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
The shift pattern is; Mon – Fri 9am-5pm (flexible days)
