Post: general practitioner – prison healthcare
Base: barlinnie, moss & greenock

We have 2 Fixed Term posts available in Prison Healthcare within NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde. These posts are full-time but we would welcome applications from candidates wishing to work part-time or on a sessional basis.
For General Practitioners who contract full time, we will offer 1 session per week in a General Practice within NHS GG&C, together with 1 session of CPD per week.
You will deliver Primary Care Medical Services, including assessment of newly received prisoner/patients requiring treatment for Substance Misuse, to the prison population at Barlinnie, Greenock and Low Moss Prisons. As well as providing medical support during core hours, you may also be required to work public holidays as agreed.
To practice medicine in the UK you need to hold both GMC registration and a license to practice.
