The post-holder will provide outpatient psychological intervention and therapy for patients with eating disorders, as well as assisting in evaluation and audit procedures. Some prior experience in these areas is required. The team provides individual therapy, group work, dietetic interventions and medical/psychiatric care to patients with Eating Disorders. Our therapeutic philosophy is to take a broad but evidence-based approach, focused around but not limited to cognitive behavioural therapies. This post is also open to CAP Therapists. Close supervision and further training is an integral part of the post.
The post is primarily based at the Cullen Centre, Royal Edinburgh Hospital but there may be a requirement to provide a satellite clinic within Lothian. The service is currently engaged in a review process and depending on the outcome of the review the postholder may be required to work flexibly within Lothian psychology services.
