A new opportunity has been created within Ward 54, Victoria Hospital for a Band 3 HCSW.
Ward 54 is an acute 23 bedded urology, gynaecology ward with designated green and amber pathway beds for emergency and elective patients.
You will be joining an already established nursing team and working with the current Band 3 HCSW to develop the role of HCSW within the ward.
You should be enthusiastic, dynamic, caring and compassionate, with a keen interest in urology & surgical nursing. You should be self motivated, and strive to deliver high quality patient focused care.
We are looking for a team player with excellent communication skills necessary to perform this role safely and efficiently. You will be supporting the current nursing team by undertaking clinical skills and assisting with the assessment, admission and discharge of patients.
Experience within an acute surgical ward is desirable, although not essential, as supervision and support will be available to orientate you into the role.
