The purpose of Healthcare Improvement Scotland is to ensure the people of Scotland experience the best quality of health and care.

This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity for an enthusiastic and creative team player to join an evolving communications team and make their mark within a diverse and forward-thinking national organisation.

The successful candidate will have a varied and challenging role, working closely with colleagues both in the Communications team and across the wider organisation to offer tactical advice and support to ensure a consistently high standard of quality in both print and digital communications as the organisation implements its digital strategy.

You will have strong inter-personal skills and be able to contribute meaningfully to communications discussions, and identify communication requirements through relationships you build with internal stakeholders at all levels in the organisation. 

This post will suit someone who has experience in a busy and varied communications environment. You will be educated to degree level in an appropriate specialist discipline or have relevant experience in graphic and digital design. Proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite applications and with previous experience of web content management systems including Umbraco and Sharepoint, you’ll be able to demonstrate high levels of creativity in a relevant field, ideally in a technical / professional setting. You’ll also have experience of commissioning and managing external suppliers where appropriate, managing relationships to make sure projects are delivered on time.
