Senior Crisis Team Practitioner within NW Locality
The postholder will be a first level registered mental health nurse, a registered occupational therapist or social worker registered with SSCS with the ability to work with a varied client group experiencing acute illness and with complex needs. They will work as part of a wider team based within one of three sites.
The postholder will be responsible to the Team Leader and will work as part of a dynamic, fast paced team, providing short term input to a diverse population in acute crisis as an alternative to hospital admission or to facilitate early discharge. They will supervise and support junior staff, taking responsibility for own workload and occasionally taking charge of shift. The ability to work under pressure and excellent communication skills are essential to the role. As the postholder will work across 3 sites and carry out home visits, a current driving licence is essential. Some community experience is desirable. It is essential the post holder has the ability to complete comprehensive assessments which will dictate future input, whilst managing risk effectively.
The shift pattern is; 9:00 TO 17:00 or 12:00 to 20:00 weekdays or 9:00 to 17:00 weekends and public holidays, 5 days from 7
