An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced and enthusiastic Clinical Scientist to take up this senior position in the Department. You will lead and manage the comprehensive scientific and technical services covering all aspects of treatment delivery, including the major sub sections of radiotherapy technical services, clinical radiotherapy systems and equipment management.  The successful applicant will also take a lead role in the management and continuing development of the Department’s large scale radiotherapy system network and equipment that underpin the radiotherapy service within the Cancer Centre. The Centre operates thirteen linear accelerators, including eleven Varian TrueBeam systems, with a wide range of specialised VMAT planning techniques including SABR for a wide range of clinical sites, all delivered using FFF technology. We are a world-leading site in the implementation of model-based optimisation algorithms. The successful candidate will be based at , but will be required to carry out some duties at the Beatson satellite centre in Airdrie, Lanarkshire. Applicants must be state registered, able to demonstrate excellent organisational skills, with experience of managing teams and evidence of service development relevant to this post.  You should be a pro-active with the enthusiasm and drive to take forward this challenging but rewarding post.
