We are looking to recruit a suitably qualified and motivated speech and language therapist to join our well established and dynamic SLT team for children and young people based in Castle Douglas in Dumfries and Galloway. You will provide a comprehensive service to both pre- school and school aged children in a variety of community settings across the region working collaboratively with our families and partner agencies to achieve the best outcomes for our children and young people. Prevention and early intervention is a high priority with a focus on skill sharing and tailoring support according to the needs of individuals and their families.
This post could be offered at either Band 5 or Band 6, dependant on experience.
The successful applicant will demonstrate a wide range of skills, knowledge and experience in working with children and young people with speech, language and communication difficulties and an understanding of how to support children with additional support needs as well as experience of organising and managing complex caseloads.
Ongoing support and training is available through our strong and supportive team structure and review process.
This post is based in Castle Douglas but you will work in a variety of locations across the community and therefore must be able to drive independently.
