This post is fixed term for 12 months.

This is an excellent opportunity to join the Gastroenterology Clinical Nurse Specialist team on a full time basis working specifically within the Stoma, Gastrostomy and Rectal Irrigation team on a one year secondment to cover maternity leave.  The team are responsible for the care and support of infants, children and young people with complex Colorectal needs within all wards and departments in the Womens and Childrens directorate, and within the community setting.

The post holder will provide specialist nursing expertise in colorectal care and will work alongside the multi-disciplinary teams within the West of Scotland to maintain the service. There may be a requirement to carry out some home visits within the community if deemed clinically essential.

The current post holder also has gastrostomy CNS cover as part of the job plan.

The post holder will provide support and education to children and young people, their families, and colleagues within the Women and Childrens directorate and within the West of Scotland to ensure, safe and effective care.

It is essential that you are currently a Registered Childrens Nurse with the NMC

The shift pattern is; Monday-Friday 8am-4pm
