To assist the Team Lead and the Head of Health and Safety in supporting the delivery of the NHS Lothian Health and Safety Management System to ensure as a minimum compliance with health and safety legislation; Key responsibilities include for example the ability to produce written reports in a clear and concise manner and to write and review policies and procedures.
To work with the operational Heads of Service and their management teams as directed by the Lead Adviser, in the management and control of health and safety risks.
This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
