An exciting opportunity, to join an established pharmacy team within the wider Greater Glasgow and Clyde, Alcohol and Drug Recovery Services (ADRS). The post holder will have the lead for Alcohol services within the team. 
To assist the work of the Lead Pharmacist within the GGC ADRS in providing professional support in the care and treatment of patients. To develop the role of pharmaceutical care in relation to problem alcohol and drug use. To assist the Lead pharmacist to support 291 community pharmacies on all aspects of substance use and to provide professional support and liaison on pharmacy issues to a wide range of treatment and care services, primary and Tier 4 services, statutory services, voluntary agencies, and to 6 Alcohol and Drug Partnerships (ADPs) and HSCPs in GG&C. 
Candidates should be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of community pharmacy, harm reduction and alcohol and drug treatment, care and recovery services. A post graduate qualification in substance use or equivalent is essential. Ideally candidates should have a prescribing qualification or be prepared to undertake the course. 
This post requires a pharmacist with a minimum of three years post registration, strong inter-personal and organisational skills, excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and the ability to negotiate with and influence others. 
Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to providing high quality pharmaceutical care for people who use alcohol and drugs.

The shift pattern is flexible over 7 days.
