We do this by providing a range of specialised support services that enable NHS Boards to focus their efforts on delivering health improvement and patient care.  As a major division within the NHS National Services Scotland the Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service (SNBTS) plays a vital role not only in the health of the people of Scotland but also on an international scale through our leading position in new product development biomedical research and donor / clinical services. Our goal is to maintain the highest standards of patient/donor care whilst remaining internationally competitive. The Donor Services & Transport Department is responsible for the planning and provision of adequate supplies of safe, high quality blood components for NHS Scotland in full compliance with regulatory requirements

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Print Unit department of Donor Marketing and Engagement (DME) team within Donor Services & Transport (DS&T). The successful post holder will support the DME team in the issue of varied printed donor communications as well as other specialised printing jobs.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working within a print department and the various machines used to create, print, fold, insert & assimilate the print jobs. The candidate, will monitor the print queue to ensure all mailings are accounted for and printed / posted on the target dates. Print jobs will also come from the wider National Services Scotland as well as SNBTS.

The post will be based at the Print Unit within SNBTS Headquarters, Jack Copland Centre in Edinburgh. 

The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and enthusiastic with a good eye for detail.  An important aspect of the post is the ability to be flexible due to short notice changes. The ideal candidate should be highly organised and have the ability to prioritise duties to meet demands in an ever changing environment. 

Any candidate who has worked overseas for more than 3 months will also be required to provide a criminal record check from the appropriate overseas agency
