Please note: As this post is part-time, the salary will be pro-rata.


Provide confidential counselling to employees in NHS Borders and also to employees of commercial clients of Borders Occupational Health & Safety Services.


Provide counselling in accordance with NHS protocols, the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions and COSCA (Counselling & Psychotherapy in Scotland) Statement of Ethics and Code of Practice.


This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required adult regulatory group then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post. 


The post holder must hold membership of BACP or equivalent (COSCA) and be eligible for accreditation.  Experience of time limited counselling is essential and workplace counselling experience is desirable.  Minimum 3 years supervised counselling experience.


At this time, counselling appointments are being offered by face to face, telephone and video.
